Into the Woods!
English winters are known for being depressing. I could handle the cold, if only it wasn't so overcast all the time. I woke the other day to rare cornflower blue skies, so hightailed it down to the woods by my house (with my voodoo doll, obviously).
Rufus sneaked into the shot! I'm actually so glad he did, though, because he's weirdly camera shy and I barely have any photos of him. Just a shame I look so miserable!
It makes me sad that so many trees have been torn down here recently, and that the wildflowers have been ripped out. A lot of this whole area has been cleared, and just left as piles of dirt. I always thought that when I have children, I'd bring them here to weave wildly through the trees, as I did.
Every time I walk through these woods, I remember when I randomly came across the entrance to acres of woodland. I love to throw caution to the wind while I'm exploring, so I ended up getting lost for hours. I've never been able to find the woods again, which is bizarre, because I discovered it while walking in a big circle! I think of it as the Magic Woodland.

Love is on the Radio
Whether you're swimming in champagne, buried in red roses, or happily watching Made in Chelsea alone, we all like a schmaltzy tune once in a while. So whether you've been shot with Cupid's arrow or not this Valentine's Day, here's a playlist of my favourite romantic songs.
1. Tupelo Honey - Van Morrison
I'm with Ross Geller on this one - this is my all-time favourite love song. If I ever marry, I want this as my wedding song. It's quite long, though, and there's only so much awkward dancing this blogger can take. Only Van could make 'she's alright, she's alright, she's alright' sound so romantic.

Pattie Boyd, is that you?
You know she looked in the mirror on this day and thought, 'I look fabulous'. You know she did.
See what I mean about the eye makeup?

Mood: Faded Rockstar
Bell bottoms. Devil may care attitudes. Huge hats. Saint Laurent.Velvet. Long, messy peroxide locks. Skinny scarves. Guitars. Fringing on everything. The Rolling Stones. Band tees. Couldn't-care-less snarls. Floppy bangs. Faux fur coats. Vinyl. Shawls. Whiskey. Bell sleeves. Sunglasses. Magic. Groupies. Smokey bars. Layering. Casual sex. Shorts. Leopard print. Black nail polish. Isn't there something so enticing?
*heart eye emoji* I will never stop wishing I had manageable hair so I could cut it into a 1960s bob. Ever. And that my eyes weren't so round so I could do my makeup like Kate's. Sigh.
The soundtrack to this post is 19th Nervous Breakdown - The Rolling Stones

5 Things to Consider Before Enrolling on a Creative Degree
1. You need to really, really love what you're doing. You need to love it so much that you can't imagine doing anything else with your life. It needs to physically pain you not to do it. Why? Because you will not get a job with this degree. You will hone your skills and become a better artist/writer/whatever because of it, but you will not be highly employable.

What's in My Bag: Airport Edition
These are so overdone, aren't they? Always someone showing off their designer handbag, filled with cute but random shit you know they don't normally carry around. Sigh. Yet, here I am with one of my own.
