Holy Grail Hair Mask: Bleach London Reincarnation Mask

I'm a grade A miser who appreciates very little in life. I don't worship Beyonce. The Hangover wasn't that funny. Babies? Icky. I don't even like chocolate that much. So when I give a product that all-elusive HG label? It's some good shit.

Bleach is a brand I'm not all that familiar with. I have one of their hair crayons (The Big Pink), and I've found myself beguiled by the cool stand on more than one occasion, but that's about it. I bought the Reincarnation Mask on a whim, lured in by its inexpensive price.

Before I even get onto the product itself, I just want to point out how much you get for £6. Not only do you get a whole 200ml (the same amount of Morocconoil Mask costs £30+), but you barely need to use any. I love the holographic packaging, and the Bleach logo is lifted straight from the Nirvana album of the same name - always a plus.

The instructions on the back seem to have caused a bit of blogger confusion -  I take 'apply to pre-shampooed hair' as meaning 'apply to already shampooed hair', but I can see how some reviewers interpreted that as 'apply prior to shampooing'. So I shampoo my hair as normal before using this, and leave it on just a little bit longer than the 10-20 minutes advised before washing it out. The pleasantly scented formula is very lightweight - one thing I hate in masks is their tendency to weigh hair down. You can see an immediate difference in your hair, but it looks completely natural.

After I've dried my hair, the difference is instantly noticeable. It's so much more manageable, and incredibly shiny. It just feels so nourished and touchable! I've never used a product that made my problem hair so healthy looking - I can't emphasise enough the difference in my perma-frizzy hair! I think part of it is that Bleach are a salon specialising in coloured hair, and so they're experts in looked after damaged hair post-bleaching. I can't, however, say anything about its promise to keep colours vibrant as I don't have the bright or pastel hair Bleach are primarily concerned with.

To illustrate, I have a before and after photo. Neither have been edited (though I truly cannot apologise enough for exposing you to my naked face in the after pic). The first one is my hair as I wore it today, having not used the mask this morning. I rewashed my hair this evening for the purpose of this review, this time having used it. Note: the photos are at slightly different angles (the first wasn't taken exclusively for this post), but they are both equally under the light on the ceiling.

I find it especially impressive as my hair has been straightened in the first shot, and therefore should be shinier. I know my hair still looks frizzy in the second, but you have no idea how tamed this is compared to how it normally looks after a blow dry haha! This stuff is witchcraft.

Conclusion: RUN TO BOOTS AND BUY THIS MIRACLE MASK! For £6, what have you got to lose?
